چکیده
Psoriasis is a T cell mediated inflammatory skin disease. Complex network of cytokine induces and maintain the psoriatic lesion. Study was performed to evaluate the correlation between the level of TNFα and IL-6, in the psoriasis patients with HLA-Cw6. Cytokine levels were assayed by sandwich ELISA and HLA-Cw6 typing was done by microcytoxicity method. Serum TNF-α and IL-6 were significantly (p=<0.001 in both) expressed in psoriasis patients. TNF-α had significant positive correlation with IL-6 (p=0.56, p=<0.001). We can conclude that TNF-α and IL-6 are found elevated in serum in psoriasis patients, compared to the control group. Proinflammatory cytokine such as TNF-α and IL-6 may cause inflammatory changes in microenvironment of psoriasis lesion. Gender of patient and age on onset of disease does not influence the expression of these cytokine in psoriasis cases. Results suggest that HLACw6 did not influence these cytokines secretion. *Corresponding author: Sangeeta Singh, Women Scientist, Department of Biochemistry, King George’s Medical University, Lucknow, India, Tel: 91 (612) 22232232; E-mail: [email protected] Received February 06, 2016; Accepted April 20, 2016; Published April 27, 2016 Citation: Singh S, Sonkar GK, Singh S, Singh U (2016) Increased Serum Levels of TNF-Α and IL-6 are not Related to HLA-Cw6 in Psoriasis Patients Correlation of Cytokine with HLA Cw6. HLA CLASS I IN IRANIAN P SORIATIC PATIENTS
The association of HLA and disease varies in different populations. We have . studied the association of HLA class I in Iranian psoriatic patients, in order to compare this association with other reports. Fifty-one Iranian patients with psoriasis were HLA typed. The frequency of HLA antigens in patients and patient subgroups, based on clinical patterns, age of onset, family history and prov...
متن کاملHLA-Cw6 status predicts efficacy of biologic treatments in psoriasis patients
Over the past decade, biologic therapies have been developed to treat auto-inflammatory conditions such as psoriasis. They have the advantage of better target specificity than traditional systemics such as methotrexate and cyclosporine and therefore significantly reduce side-effects and toxicity associated with wide spread systemic treatments. It has been suggested that the efficacy of biologic...
متن کاملIncreased Risk of Psoriasis due to combined effect of HLA-Cw6 and LCE3 risk alleles in Indian population.
HLA-Cw6 is one of the most associated alleles in psoriasis. Recently, Late Cornified Envelop 3 (LCE3) genes were identified as a susceptibility factor for psoriasis. Some population showed epistatic interaction of LCE3 risk variants with HLA-Cw6, while some population failed to show any association. We determined the associations of a 32.2 kb deletion comprising LCE3C-3B genes and three SNPs (r...
متن کاملClinical associations of the risk alleles of HLA-Cw6 and CCHCR1*WWCC in psoriasis.
The PSORS1 locus is the consistently replicated genetic risk factor for psoriasis. Clinical associations with the main marker allele of PSORS1, HLA-Cw6, have been addressed in a number of studies, but clinical associations have not been used as a way to distinguish the effects of the neighbouring candidate genes in PSORS1. Our results show that HLA-Cw6 and CCHCR1 risk allele associations with c...
متن کاملHuman leukocyte antigens as psoriasis inheritance and susceptibility markers.
Psoriasis is a multifactoral and heterogenetically inherited disease. The role of hereditary transmission is supported by familial association, twin studies, and correlation with human leukocyte antigens (HLA). Numerous studies have proved that B13, B17, Cw6, and DR7 antigens are positively associated with psoriasis. Cw6 antigen has been repeatedly indicated to be the most significant marker fo...
